Curling Aurora over Skulsfjord

Mike Zawadzki

Skulsfjord is another favorite spot with a rock beach, mountains in the distance, and some fields, rocks, and sheds scattered through a small village. Though the mountains are relatively far away, I rather enjoy seeing the Aurora Borealis in scale next to them. It makes the mountains look small, and me feel small in the giant universe we occupy! This Aurora was the catalyst to a large display of very bright Auroras that lasted around 20-30 minutes.
